After months of planning this big day, it is finally here! Although this is a very exciting time, it can also be the most stressful time as well. The day before your wedding there is a lot to keep track of so the big day runs smoothly and keeps everyone stress free.
1.Confirm all vendors
The morning before your wedding, send out confirmation emails to all vendors and make sure you include the time they should be there. Print out a list of vendors that need to be paid yet and if anyone needs to be paid the day of the wedding, give payments and the list to someone trustworthy to handle, such as parent or aunt/uncle. You will be so busy and pulled in so many directions that this will be one less thing you will have to worry about making time for.
2. Make a checklist of everything needed for the ceremony and reception
You do not want to wake up and have to rush to get ready on your big day. Make an ongoing checklist and pack everything needed the night before; you may even want to pack things in the car you will be taking. Have your maid of honor check over it as well so you’re sure not to forget anything!
3. Eat a healthy meal
Enjoy some special treats, but make sure not to over do it or your body will not feel its best. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables for natural energy and drink a lot of water to hydrate yourself (not to mention help fight any bloated feeling). You will be so busy that you won’t have a lot of time for water or eating on your wedding day.
4. Enjoy a mani/pedi
Go enjoy a spa day with the bridesmaids and maid of honor! This will calm you down and give you time to go over about some wedding day details one last time.
5. Set aside some quiet time
You will be overwhelmed with people soon, just relax and be in the moment, either by yourself or with your fiance. Watch a movie, curl up with a book, go for a walk, write each other notes to read before the ceremony begins, or even take a nap. This is exactly what you are going to need before the craziness of your wedding day.
6. Positive Attitude
Wake up on the day of your wedding with a positive attitude and a big smile! Although you want everything to go perfect, things might not (the bride pictured above found out the road to her wedding and reception was closed), but everything will still work out. Have a positive attitude throughout the day and let the little things go. Everyone will be there to help you and later you will laugh at the little imperfections you were so worried about.
7. Say Thank You
Make sure you tell your wedding party, parents and soon-to-be in-laws thank you. They have done, and will do, a lot more on your wedding day than you think. A heartfelt thank you will go a long way.
Embrace the craziness that is the day before your wedding and you will have nothing but fond memories to look back on.
