From the Photographer: Those beautiful Iowa fall days have a way of grabbing our hearts & creating what feels like a glimpse of heaven, don’t they? Golden hour, autumn colors, and a beautiful haze of combine dust scattering the land. What a perfect setting to shoot an engagement session.
Our vision for the photo shoot was to create a rural engagement session with a few elegant touches. We began our session slowly strolling near a humble little creek, and then easily settled into a champagne picnic. After that we ended our session in a field full of wispy prairie grass, and we eagerly ate up every last ounce of golden light.
Shane and Nicole showed a genuine love for each other and were truly a delight to capture. They were up for anything and were so easy going. Which was especially helpful when I accidentally stepped right into a very large cow pie! Nicole and I were both farm girls growing up so it didn’t phase us a bit, and it definitely brought us a good chuckle. When I think back on their session, I can’t help but smile and look forward to their upcoming wedding this summer. Everything seems possible to engaged couples as they look ahead. I love the optimism and hope they hold in their hearts.Terri Demarest Photography
