Marion Engagement Session: Beth + Kurt

Marion Engagement Session: Beth + Kurt

Fun, spontaneous, and trustworthy; the three words Beth and Kurt would use to describe themselves as a couple.  This couple truly values family and friends while also sharing lots of laughs together.

From Beth: I was a waitress/bartender at a local diner in Dyersville (Joe’s Diner) and Kurt is really good friends with the owner, Joe. Kurt would come in for drinks after working his 2nd shift job and that’s when we started to get to know each other. I think we both started making excuses to see or even text each other and our relationship kept growing more and more! Also, Kurt is really good friends with my brother, Nick, so we’ve known of each other for awhile before me working at the diner. 🙂

The morning of March 4th, 2017 I was laying on the couch and he was in the kitchen. I thought he was in there doing dishes, but now I’m pretty sure he was just pacing back and forth. He yelled in from the kitchen and asked what I wanted to do that day and I, still sleepy, grumbled and said I don’t know! Minutes later he slowly walked over and asked if I wanted to spend the rest of the day engaged! I was so shocked, probably asked him if the ring was real and if he was serious… but I eventually, of course said yes!

What I love most about Kurt is how genuine he is. He’s sincere, honest and he truly cares for every person that is in his life.  Kurt makes me laugh at the stupidest jokes and literally has a heart of gold. I can’t imagine a sweeter guy to spend the rest of my life with other than him.

From Kurt: Beth’s sense of humor is what reeled me in (making her snort/laugh is one of my favorite things), but what I love most is her caring attitude towards her family and friends. She cares so much about those closest to her and would do anything for them. I know she’ll always be there for me and can’t wait to start a family of our own with her!
