We’ve put together 3 quick recipes: our favorite traditional Moscow Mule and two flavored bad boys. Each recipe makes two and there are a few things you’ll need on hand to try all three.

  • 2 Moscow Mule cups (we used these)
  • 1 oz shot glass (we used one of our cute little mini mule shot glasses)
  • Vodka
  • 3 Ginger beers
  • 3 Limes
  • ½ C Blueberries
  • ½ C Blackberries
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Grapefruit
  • Sage for garnish (‘cause you’re fancy)

Recipe 1: Traditional Mule
For the Traditional Mule, it’s all about letting the ginger beer and lime shine. Two things are pretty important. ONE, the copper mugs really do make a difference. Mules are always enjoyable, but when they are enjoyed from a copper or metal mug, the mug helps to tame the acidity of the lime, which results in a more refreshing concoction. TWO, ginger beer is always better than ginger ale. Ginger ale is too sweet, but ginger beer has the perfect punch of ginger spice.

You’ll need:

  • Your copper mugs and shot glass
  • 3oz vodka
  • 1 ginger beer
  • 1 lime
  • Sage for garnish
  • Ice, ice and more ice

Directions:

  1. Pour 1.5 oz of vodka in each mule cup, using a shot glass to measure
  2. Split the ginger beer between the 2 cups
  3. Split the juice of your lime between the 2 cups
  4. Finish with as much ice that will fill each cup, and BAM, you’ve got a beautiful traditional pair of Mules

***Remember, we all have different tastes, which means, depending on your palette, you may want to bump up how much lime, vodka or ginger beer you use.

Recipe 2: Grapefruit Goddess Mule
This grapefruit and lemon version is, well…delightful. It’s light, it’s refreshing, it makes me want to hang some festive lights and throw a backyard party. The ingredients you’ll need for this mule are slightly different, in that you don’t use any lime.

You’ll need:

  • Your copper mugs and shot glass
  • 3oz vodka
  • 1 ginger beer
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 grapefruit (ok, you don’t use the whole thing, but you get it)
  • Ice, ice and more ice

Directions:

  1. Pour 1.5 oz of vodka in each mule cup, using a shot glass to measure
  2. Split the ginger beer between the 2 cups
  3. Squeeze 1oz of lemon juice into each cup (measuring with your shot glass)
  4. Squeeze 1oz grapefruit juice into each cup (measuring with your shot glass)
  5. Finish with as much ice that will fill each cup, and sit back, relax and enjoy.

***Again, we all have different taste buds. I personally enjoy more grapefruit juice, so I’ll get a little dangerous and bump it up to 1.5 – 2 ounces per drink.

Recipe 3: Black’n Blue Mule
Let’s face it, we now live in a world filled with SO many Do’s and Don’ts for a healthy lifestyle. While we all try our best, it can be exhausting…so we’re here to help you. As you probably know, blueberries are packed full of antioxidants. Mix those heart-healthy berries with some vodka and enjoy your Mule guilt-free!

You’ll need:

  • Your copper mugs and shot glass
  • 3oz vodka
  • 1 ginger beer
  • 1 lime
  •  ½ C blackberries
  • ½ C blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  •  Sage for garnish
  • Ice, ice and more ice

Directions:

  1. Special first step: Combine your blueberries, blackberries and sugar. Mash or muddle mixture before splitting it between your 2 cups
    • TIP – If you have time, complete this step the night before, for a stronger berry flavor.
  2. Pour 1.5 oz of vodka in each mule cup, using a shot glass to measure
  3. Split the ginger beer between the 2 cups
  4. Split the juice of your 1 lime between the 2 cups
  5. Finish with as much ice that will fill each cup, and delight in your beautiful creation. We popped a few extra berries on top to add to its pretty presentation.

Just  in case you forgot, our favorite mules look adorable alongside our mini Moscow Mule escort cards! And don’t forget…always drink responsibly!
