Alli and Adam wanted their country wedding to be bright, rustic, colorful, and whimsical – just like them. Gorgeous color palettes of blush, rose gold, mint green, peach, hot pink, light pink, succulent blue, and dark green all came together magically.
From the Photographer: Alli wore a dress that faded to dusty rose at the bottom–as did her half of the peg person cake topper! The cake topper even included a peg made to resemble their sweet pup! That was just the beginning of all the whimsical and bright and abundantly happy details of this wedding! It truly matched the abundantly happy bride and groom!
From the Bride:Adam and I met our senior year at our high school’s snowball dance. We then ended up going to our senior prom together! We hung out all summer and decided to date the night before Adam left for college in Des Moines, IA (2 hours away). Distance was the best and worst thing that happened to our relationship. We always tell ourselves if we could get through a long distance relationship for four years, we can conquer anything! Adam proposed to me on 12/24/2015. This was one of the most special moments of my life. I had no idea it was coming either, which was the absolute best. I love surprises! Every Christmas Eve we go to Red Lobster with my Mom, Dad, Brother, and Grandpa O’Brien. When we got home from lunch Adam told me he had a Christmas gift for me, but it was in my parent’s backyard and he had to blindfold me because he wasn’t able to wrap the gift. I thought Adam either made Beau a dog house or bought me a new bike, haha! Turns out when he took the blindfold off he was down on one knee, snow falling and all, with the most beautiful handmade wooden sign with a carved heart on it that said “Allison Lynne, will you marry me?” Moments later I said “YES!”, turned around, and saw my family and friends standing behind us to witness our proposal which was so special.
My favorite part of the wedding was walking down the aisle and seeing Adam. Adam and I chose not to see each other on our wedding day until I walked down the aisle. That was a very special and classic moment for us.
Our flowers played a very important part in the overall style of our wedding. If any decoration aspect mattered the most to me, it was the flowers. Our flowers consisted of loose cascading peach garden roses, blush peonies, hot pink peonies, dusty blue succulents, fuchsia spray roses, peach hypericum, blue thistle, ivy vine, and seeded eucalyptus. Our center pieces included candelabra’s decorated with italian ruscus and ivy vines with floral wreaths lining the bases, quaint white lanterns with ribbon, flowers, and greens draping from the top, and hobnob jars/vases with flowers and mixed draping greens.True Imagery
