Bohemian Folk Art Inspired Wedding: Lauren + Tyler

From the Photographer: It all started in high school when Tyler wrote a paper in English class stating that he was going to marry Lauren someday. The two weren’t dating at the time, and went to prom together as ‘just friends’, but Tyler knew it was only a matter of time. Little did Lauren know, their teacher would be reading that same English paper from high school (sounds more like a love note to me!) on their wedding day many years later. After years of being best friends, Lauren and Tyler went on their first official date in college. When she wasn’t looking, Tyler, being the goofball that he is, snuck a bright red clown nose on his face. What better way to break the ice on a first date! Ever since that moment, he will now and again sneak the clown nose back on as a reminder of their friendship turned love story. We should have known the red clown nose was going to make an appearance on the wedding day! Sure enough, both Lauren and Tyler had decided to surprise each other by wearing a clown nose during their first look. They were both so shocked that they had come up with the same idea, and we were so happy to have captured their priceless reactions. This couple was not only a lot of fun to work with throughout the process, but were so loving and so filled with excitement on their wedding day. We had a blast from start to finish!

From the Bride: The basic vision I had for the wedding was folk art, eclectic, modern, 70’s, and bohemian. It was very non-traditional. The ceremony was small and private. Only relatives were invited. All in all, the initial goal that Tyler and I had was to have a wedding that was true to us and I feel like we did this, 100%. The day was unlike any other wedding I’ve seen, been in, or gone to and it felt so unique to us. That made the day so special.
